Messiah | Christmas Oratorio | Beaminster Singers

Beaminster's choral society bring to you the familiar comforts of Bach and Handel, with the Emmett twist. Celebrating their first outing together under the baton of new music director Kris Emmett, the choir will deliver Part 1 of Messiah - perhaps Handel's most enduring work - alongside the first cantata from Bach's Christmas Oratorio, sung in German. This will be coupled with his Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring as well as Emmett's own carol, This Glorious Christmas Day.

Our soloists for the evening are the American soprano Ashley Adams, visiting us all the way from Florida; contralto Verity Stroud, tenor Samuel Hill and baritone Freddie Crowley. The orchestra will be led by Oz Tabor.

Join in this celebration from 7:30pm at St Mary's Church, Beaminster on Saturday 22nd November for an enchanting evening combining the exciting thrill of Baroque music, accompanied neatly by sublime chamber orchestra.
